General Manager – Troon (North River Yacht Club taxi)
North River Yacht Club is excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for a General Manager. The General Manager directs and oversees all aspects of the club or facility, including its activities and relationships between guests, associates, and community. This role carries ultimate responsibility for maximum guest satisfaction and financial performance.
EssentialDuties
- Prepares and monitors the annual budget, revenue goals, and expenses, and generates various business volume forecasts.
- Monitors financial reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and takes corrective action when necessary.
- Establishes and monitors basic personnel policies, including personnel actions, training, and professional development programs.
- Ensures all Human Resources procedures and policies are followed by management staff.
- Develops, maintains, and administers a sound organizational plan and initiates improvements as necessary.
- Maintains membership with the PGA and CMAA, and other professional associations; attends workshops and meetings to stay current.
- Oversees the care and maintenance of all facility physical assets.
- Coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility’sAnswered services to potential customers.
- Ensures the highest standards for food and beverage service on the property.
- Implements policies and procedures for multiple departments, including compliance with all company standards for quality.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Directly manages department members such as Head Professionals, Golf Course Superintendents, Tournament Coordinators, Directors of Instruction, etc.
- Ensures effective orientation and training for each new associate and develops ongoing training programs.
Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four‑year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Multi-course facilities may require more experience.
Physical DemandsRegularly stands, walks, and sits. Occasionally may climb, balance, stoop, kneel,ίcrawl, crouch, taste, or smell. Regularly uses hands to finger, feel, or handle, reach with arms and hands, talk or hear. Occasionally lifts to 50 pounds.
Environment/NoiseOccasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/LicensesClass A member of PGA/LPGA.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
