Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele nursing position on a General Surgery unit with night shifts and recent specialty experience required.

• Position is located in a hospital setting within the General Surgery unit on the 5 South floor
• Patient population includes post-operative general surgery cases requiring medical-surgical and telemetry care
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Uses Meditech EMR system
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate with no distance restrictions
• Cardiac exam link will be provided within 48 hours of accepting an offer and must be completed within 24 hours
• Virtual orientation will include competency-based modules; no Health Stream modules required prior to start
• Timekeeping is managed through Centricity
• All necessary compliance steps must be completed by the stated deadline prior to the start date

• Active AL or compact RN license required for consideration with no history of disciplinary action
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including 1 year of recent experience within med/surg tele specialty
• Current, non-expired state or compact RN license required;
  No pending or temporary licenses accepted
