Department Summary:

This position is a contingent on‑call position. Provides direct nursing care to residents. Delegates and supervises the care provided by resident assistants. Administers medications. Performs treatments and procedures. Obtains specimens as needed. Completes documentation as required.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Alabama in good standing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of the Alabama Department of Public Health Rules & Regulations for Assisted Living and Specialty Care Assisted Living. Knowledge of Dementia Education, Care and Training (DETA) and dementia in the elderly. Knowledge of the DETA Brain series, pharmacological management of dementia, the Dementia Assessment series provided by DETA, or equivalent training approved by the State Health Officer.

Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. One year of experience working as a licensed practical nurse.
