American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool night shift position requiring AL or compact RN licensure and 2 years of specialty experience.

• Acute care float team position requiring willingness to float to other units and hospitals within the health system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Works every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week
• Uses Meditech EMR

• Active RN license (Alabama State or Compact) in hand, no temporary or pending licenses accepted
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
• Associate degree in nursing required
• 2 years of overall specialty experience required, or 18 months with 1 year of recent experience in the specialty working under the highest level of professional license
• NURSYS verification required
• No history of license actions, past or current

• Provide nursing care as part of a float pool team covering Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Dress code requires solid navy scrubs
• Onsite parking available
• Virtual orientation includes competency-based modules
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no mileage restrictions
