Job SummaryThe Groundskeeper provides basic labor for landscape and flower installation and maintenance. Works outdoors in all types of weather. Drives University vehicles such as trucks, golf carts, mowers, and tractors from site-to-site.
Additional Department SummaryShifts may exceed 8 hours per day depending on the condition of the grounds and campus event schedules. Performs work at various locations, including events such as football games. Requires overtime, sometimes on short notice.

Must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
Additional Required DepartmentMinimum Qualifications
Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
Skills and KnowledgeAbility to stand, walk, lift, and carry groundskeeping equipment for prolonged periods. Ability to work in all types of weather conditions and temperatures.
