What we are looking for:

GRAMMER is looking for a Quality Liaison to join the GRAMMER Tupelo team through a remote role at our customer's site in Tuscaloosa, AL. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment. This individual will have an opportunity to make lasting and positive changes in our team and GRAMMER as a whole!

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Liaison. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the quality of GRAMMER parts, addressing customer complaints, and ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of quality control processes, and the ability to work effectively with both our team and our customers.

What you will be doing:

  • Monitor the quality of GRAMMER parts and attend to customer complaints, performing initial evaluations to determine GRAMMER's responsibility.
  • Maintain a stock of spare parts for necessary repairs and reworks.
  • Perform repairs, reworks, sorts, and containment of non-conforming products found at the customer's location.
  • Investigate customer complaints and determine whether they are customer or GRAMMER related.
  • Provide feedback on potential concerns at the customer's location.
  • Ensure information regarding non-conforming products and customer complaints are promptly communicated back to GRAMMER Quality (via text, phone call, and/or email).
  • Use the 5W+2H method or equivalent as per GRAMMER Quality directions for problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Agree on repairs and reworks with the customer, if possible, and provide feedback to GRAMMER Quality.
  • Initiate sorting and containment actions for customer complaints determined as GRAMMER's responsibility, including Clean Points at the customer and GRAMMER stock out of the plant.
  • Arrange for the disposition and shipment of parts from customer complaints determined as GRAMMER's responsibility.
  • Attend meetings as required and ensure meeting minutes are communicated effectively.
  • Prepare reports as per GRAMMER Quality directions and send shift pass downs accordingly.
  • Review GRAMMER Quality Alerts and previous shift pass downs.
  • Support the GRAMMER Strategy (Vision, Mission, Way of Working) and work according to GRAMMER policies and customer internal guidelines.
  • Communicate/coordinate with other Quality Liaisons.

What you will bring along:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration with other Quality Liaisons.
