Job Summary:The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving the PhD or other doctoral degree under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee.

The Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at The University of Alabama is seeking a candidate for a Postdoctoral position. This position is available to individuals with research interests in batteries and energy storage.
Successful candidates will hold a terminal degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field and demonstrate a record of academic achievement in research. Initial appointments are for one year, with renewal contingent upon demonstration of research productivity and funding.
Required DepartmentMinimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. or other terminal degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
Candidates will need to have completed their Ph.D. or have it completed by the start of employment. Skills and Knowledge:- Experience with electrochemistry and materials synthesis.
- Strong analytical skills, including but not limited to XPS, ICP-OES, GC-MS, TEM.
- Experience with data visualization and analysis software.
