Security Guard

Benchmark Wedding Rings has been around for over 40 years. We have recently expanded our production, bringing in new equipment and expanding our departments. Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

This is not a traditional security guard position

Our security guards help with other functions in our facility along with surveillance.

Essential Functions Security Functions (40% of job)

• Observation of associates entering and exiting the facility
• Ensuring that all associates follow security protocols
• Verification of all deliveries that enter and exit the facility
• Document and notify Security Supervisor of all security protocol failures
• Walking the perimeter of the facility daily
• Monitor the overall safety of the facility, reporting all unusual activity

Deliveries (10% of job)

• Monitoring pickup/drop off of deliveries and ensuring company protocols are followed

Cleaning (25% of job)

• Disposal of all company garbage through proper procedures
• Clean designated areas of building on a weekly basis (Includes mopping and cleaning bathrooms)

Administrative Duties

• Assist in prep of shipping supplies

Unload shipping supplies from pallets
• Pull shipping supplies from upstairs supply room based on bi‑weekly request sheet
• Restock shipping supplies based on set on‑hand requirements
• Restock supplies based on assigned location in storage room

Miscellaneous (5% of job)

• Running errands and deliveries
• Any other jobs deemed necessary

Minimum Qualifications

• Education:
  
  High School or equivalent
• Experience:
  
  Good work history, ability to pass a background check
• Skill Set:
  Honest, dependable, high level of confidentiality, organized, basic computer/security system knowledge, able to understand and communicate in both written and verbal English
• Physical:
  Ability to lift 30+ lbs., good eyesight, able to sit/stand for 8+ hrs., ability to view computer screen 8+ hrs., manual dexterity and general physical activity are required
• Other:
  Good attendance, punctuality, consistent quality of work, associate feedback, positive attitude, eager to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience:
  
  2+ years in a security position
• Physical:
  Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
