Warehouse Shipping Supervisor

Now hiring for a Warehouse Shipping Supervisor (Direct Hire)

Location: Tuscaloosa, AL
Pay: $20-$22/hr
Schedule: 1st Shift | 8:00 AM-Finish

• Supervise daily shipping operations and coordinate warehouse personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Plan and prioritize outgoing shipments to meet customer and delivery schedules.
• Ensure orders are accurately picked, packed, staged, loaded, and shipped.
• Verify product quantities, shipping documents, and delivery information for accuracy.
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, sales teams, and management to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Monitor inventory movement and resolve shortages, discrepancies, and damaged materials.
• Train, coach, schedule, and support warehouse and shipping team members.
• Assist with hiring, performance management, employee development, and disciplinary processes.
• Maintain accurate shipping records, inventory documentation, and operational reports.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
• Assist with loading and unloading plumbing, HVAC, and building supply materials as needed.
• Monitor productivity and ensure departmental goals are achieved.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Training in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, or supply chain management is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and experience with shipping documentation and inventory systems.

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse, shipping, distribution, or logistics experience required.
• Previous leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience required.
• Experience coordinating shipments, inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and employee coaching skills.
• Building materials, plumbing, HVAC, or industrial distribution experience preferred.

• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Frequent lifting, moving, and handling of warehouse materials.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Ability to load, unload, stage, and inspect products in a warehouse environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution and shipping facility
