Warehouse Specialist

Schedule:

7am to 3:30pm

Job Requirements Must wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts. Must provide personal steel-toed safety boots. Other required PPE will be provided. Forklift experience required; forklift certification highly preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be flexible to work extended hours, occasional weekends, and holidays as needed. Position Summary The Warehouse Associate supports daily warehouse and shipping operations by safely loading and unloading trucks, picking and verifying orders, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory.

This role requires strong attention to safety, quality, customer service, and on-time deliveries in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Schedule Monday through Friday, day shift. Hours may vary based on customer needs and truck availability. Overtime, extended shifts, occasional weekends, and holidays may be required.

Education and Experience High school diploma required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced logistics or manufacturing environment. Experience supporting shipping, logistics, customer service, and business operations. Forklift certification highly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follow all safety procedures and environmental, health, and safety requirements. Operate forklifts safely while remaining alert to pedestrian traffic. Complete daily forklift inspections and maintain required certifications. Pick, verify, package, and prepare orders for shipment. Load and unload trucks and trailers safely, following weight restrictions and proper loading procedures. Verify product quantities against packing slips and bills of lading.

Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation. Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory procedures and participate in cycle counts. Secure pallets using stretch-wrap equipment and prepare products for transportation. Follow hazardous materials handling and transportation procedures and maintain required certifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Communicate shipping priorities, equipment issues, and operational concerns to management. Review department communications and maintain reliable attendance.

Work collaboratively with warehouse, shipping, and other departments. Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and work processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Required

Skills and Qualifications Safe forklift operation and general warehouse knowledge. Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to organize tasks, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Basic computer skills and proficiency with Google Workspace. Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. Ability to follow written instructions and shipping procedures.

Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, and sitting. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb as needed. Ability to use hands and fingers to operate warehouse equipment and handle materials. Ability to read documents, enter data, and maintain accurate records. Ability to distinguish colors and safely perform tasks requiring coordination and depth perception.
