About

The Role

This role will utilize the CMMS system, including planning work orders, requisitioning parts, materials, or external support as needed. It also schedules work orders by priority and balances the work across each shift. The planner works closely with the Maintenance Manager and operations leadership to coordinate work at scheduled times, as well as with engineering and project managers to schedule support for projects.

Coordination of contract work being performed on site and approval of that work is also part of the role. A successful candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule and can work within a group setting or alone. Strong written and verbal communication skills are key.

What You'll Accomplish
  • Effectively utilizes the CMMS system to plan work orders, requisition parts, materials, and external support. Runs reports and assures system maintains accurate information.
  • Prepares a detailed plan for outages, which includes all work that will be performed, estimated time and date of completion, manpower required, and routine updates to schedule compliance.
  • For planned work (CO/PM), add required parts to procedures in the CMMS system to estimate the cost impact.
  • Manages projects as needed and may be called upon to provide direction to maintenance teammates or help set priorities.
  • Contributes to the planning and coordination of maintenance engineering work, including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications.
  • Participates in engineering reviews of proposed new equipment designs to assess reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts.
  • Liaises with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections and supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules.
  • Participates in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Supports continuous improvement/automation activities.
  • May require offsite training and may be called upon to lead onsite training topics.
  • Supports storeroom and spare parts inventory to ensure min/max levels set.
  • Stages parts for downtime and/or work orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promotes a culture of safety and exhibits these behaviors.
What We're Looking For
  • Two or more years' experience in a Multi-Craft Maintenance position or five or more years’ experience in a Maintenance Mechanical or Electrical position.
  • Two or more years’ experience as a Maintenance Planner.
  • Ability to give and take feedback, be a team player with good work ethics.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal guidance.
  • Willing and capable of taking ownership within an assigned area.
  • Good understanding and application of TPM and RCM concepts.
  • Experience using a CMMS within a maintenance operation.
  • Microsoft Office suite experience.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on plant needs.
  • Analyze equipment work history and make recommendations as needed.
Preferred
  • Two-year Technical Degree associated with Maintenance.
Additional Requirements
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.

Pay: $39.69 per hour for 5 years’ experience.

Schedule:

6:00 am – 2:00 pm (Monday – Friday).
