2nd Shift Forklift Operator – Great Southern Wood Preserving

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., a producer of Yellawood® brand Pressure‑Treated Pine, is hiring forklift operators for our Tuscumbia, AL location. This full‑time position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Summary
Operate an industrial forklift truck to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. Regular shift hours are 3 PM – 11 PM, Monday‑Friday with additional hours possible.

• Move levers and press pedals to drive the truck and control the lifting apparatus.
• Position forks, lifting platform, or other device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transport the load to designated area.
• Unload and stack material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
• Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Maintain records of inventory.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous forklift experience required.
• Lumber experience a plus.
