Program OverviewSequel Youth and Family Services of Tuskegee, is an intensive residential treatment facility providing an array of gender specific,evidenced based and trauma informed services for male adolescents, ages 12-18, with serious and/or chronic emotional and/or behavioral management problems that interfere with the child’s ability to function in the family, schooland/or community setting outside of a residential environment.

Position OverviewThe Quality Assurance Manager/HIPAA Officer performs a variety of functions to ensure all departments maintain set standards that are in compliance with HIPAA regulations. This position is responsible for updating HIPAA policies, audits, compiling and submitting RAC data, and serves as a primary liaison to the Corporate Risk Manager to ensure compliance with DYS/DHR standards. This position requires the ability to: perform office work directly related to HIPAA and DYS/DHR policies or general business operations;
exercise discretion and independent judgement; provides regular and direct assistance to executives. This position does not provide direct individual/resident care.
- Have a Degree in the field of business management or related field.
- Have one year of experience in Quality Assurance Management.
- Demonstrate knowledge of accreditation standards as well as all state and federal statutes and regulations relative to services provided, and ensure all programming meets set standards and statutes.
- Understand state Medicaid requirements for file compliance and stay apprised of any changes or updates to policies and procedures.
- Conduct internal audits to certify that client and med management files meet corporate, payee, contract requirements, and state Medicaid requirements, including informed consent compliance.
- Identify gaps, missing information, and areas of weakness in file compliance and communicate with managers and service providers to correct deficiencies.
- Initiate and coordinate all activities around licensing and re-licensing.
- Deliver and/or coordinate, monitor and track staff training to ensure compliance with all corporate, licensing and accreditation standards.
- Respond to requests for records from state agencies for the purpose of quality monitoring and auditing.
- Review weekly RAC audits as required by Sequel.
- Monitor and track incident reports and prepare quarterly analysis.
- Ensure all offices are in compliance with site-specific safety programs and requirements.
