The DRR Education & Vocational Program Specialist supports the expansion of the OCRM High School Diploma Program by providing educational counseling, academic assistance, and comprehensive support to students at the Double R Ranch. This position plays a key role in helping students complete required high school credits and prepare for successful passage of the Hi-SET equivalency exam.
In addition to academic support, this position is responsible for developing Double R Ranch’s vocational program under Mission University. This includes the creation, implementation, and administration of vocational certificate programs aligned with DRR student job assignments.
This is a part-time role at our DRR Ranch location in 19292 El Toro Rd, Silverado, CA 92676.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8am - 12pm.

Job Requirements
Education & ExperienceDemonstrated experience in teaching, education, tutoring, and academic advisement.
Knowledge of California high school graduation requirements, Hi-SET, and GED.
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Teaching required; California Multiple Subject Credential preferred.
Administrative & Organizational SkillsStrong attention to detail across administrative and organizational duties.
Ability to take initiative to identify needs and propose new tasks and procedures.
Demonstrated self-motivation, confidentiality, and flexibility within all areas of responsibility.
Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer), including the ability to utilize electronic records databases and reporting functions.
Regular, timely attendance.
Flexibility to work some evening and occasional weekend hours.

Summary
The DRR Education & Vocational Program Specialist plays a vital role in supporting Double R Ranch students as they work toward completing high school credits and preparing for the Hi-SET equivalency exam. This position provides individualized academic counseling, targeted instructional support, and guidance to ensure each student can progress toward earning a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Certificate. In addition, the Specialist leads the development and administration of the Ranch’s vocational certificate programs, equipping students with practical skills that support future employment and long-term self-sufficiency.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree (BA)
Experience: 2-3 yrs of job related work experience.
Communication Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Math Skills: Intermediate:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
Reasoning: Intermediate
Skills:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
