Engineer II - Fly Wire

Overview

As Engineer II - Fly-byWire, you will work within the Flight Controls Department. Your focus is on development of test software for our next generation spaceship. Additionally, you will work on testing supplier software deliveries and troubleshooting software issues.

• Lead development of the system Built-in-Test (BIT).
• Test supplier software deliveries.
• Determine root cause of software issues and propose corrective actions.
• Review supplier software development process, conduct audits and code reviews.
• Perform system integration of components.

• Must posess a degree from an accredited university (preferably Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering).
• 5 + years with Bachelor s; or 3 years and a Master s; or PhD without experience or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Aerospace software development and test.
• Aerospace software development experience.
• Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test experience.
• C and Python programming.
• Understanding of software development process for flight (DO-178).
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

• Hands-on experience testing/troubleshooting electronics and electromechanical systems.
• Experience with flight control systems including fault-tolerant architectures.
• Knowledge of aircraft flight control system operations, flight test, or pilot experience.
• Understanding of systems development process for flight (ARP-4754).
• Data analysis using MATLAB.
• Modeling and simulation using Simulink.
• LabVIEW programming.

The annual U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $88,477.00–$. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
