Base pay range$18.00/hr - $21.00/hr

Job DescriptionEurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Sample Control Technician to join our Sample Preparation Team in Tustin, CA.
Sample Control Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform all duties as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure for Sample Control Technicians.
- Primary responsibilities will cover Sample Preparation department:
Homogenization – mixing of samples ahead of analytical testing;
Sample compositing - combining of samples ahead of analytical testing;
Incremental Sampling Method (ISM) – utilizing the precise method of sample preparation to adhere to the guidelines required for this technique. - Cross Training responsibilities in the following:
- Receive, log in and label samples, and bottle orders for sign-in and analysis.
- Count the number of samples when receiving them from clients to make sure that the Chain of Custody and samples match.
- Verify that samples are not broken or damaged.
- Receive and sign the Chain of Custody.
- Ensure that client signs, dates, and records time on the Chain of Custody when releasing samples.
- Inspect samples for damage or violated hold times to maintain sample integrity.
- Interact with Project Managers and clients appropriately and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with the couriers.
- Restock supplies when received so supplies are available to employees when needed.
- Maintain the shipping/receiving area to ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform on-site sampling events as needed.
- Dispose of samples according to guidelines on a monthly basis to remain in compliance with Environmental Protection Agency and Environmental Health & Safety requirements.
- Label samples after log in on an as needed basis.
- May be assigned other sample control duties as identified by the laboratory management.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a fast paced, production, food service or retail type environment preferred
- Computer skills preferred
- Ability to prioritize
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
Compensation range: $18-$21 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Position is full-time with overtime and possible weekends as needed.
The candidate must be able to work Monday thru Friday, 11am - 8pm. The initial first few weeks of training will be Monday thru Friday, 9am - 6pm.
