Laboratory Technician - Metals Prep, Eurofins Environment Testing Calscience, Tustin, CA

Eurofins Environmental Testing Southwest is seeking a Laboratory Technician I in Tustin, CA. The Sample Preparation Laboratory Technician I is responsible for utilizing general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Quality Assurance programs and SOPs, to weigh, digest and prepare soil and water samples for trace metal analysis.

• Sample preparation duties may include, but are not limited to the following: evaluate backlog and prioritize daily workload based on required due dates and holding times.
• Retrieve samples from sample storage for digestion and preparation.
• Weigh and measure sample aliquots for digestion and preparation.
• Document required sample preparation details and observations.
• Prepare reagents and standards for daily use.
• Maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with the laboratory quality assurance program.
• Perform daily duties while adhering to the environmental health and safety policies.
• Wash laboratory glassware as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Actively communicate with department manager, analytical team and project managers about job status, rush ETA, sample matrix issues, holding time, etc.
• Assist other areas of the laboratory as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• High school Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English (read, write and speak)

Compensation Range: $18-22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime and weekends as needed.
