Shift: Full-time, Permanent – Regular Work schedule
Duties- Installs, inspects, repairs, troubleshoots and recognizes the cause of faulty equipment and makes repairs on large systems that provide a variety of air conditioning functions such as heating, cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying, cleaning, filtering and circulation for large office buildings.
- Repairs domestic and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning units and systems, such as walk-in and reach-in coolers, refrigerators, freezers, ice-makers, water fountains, self-contained and remote compressor units, and other equipment of comparable complexity to maintain proper humidity and circulation.
- Provides world-class customer service with an emphasis on courtesy, assists customers, communicates positively, checks for satisfaction, and alerts supervisors when problems arise.
- Adheres to safety regulations and standards, uses required safety equipment, and reports workplace hazards.
- Supports the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
- May be required to travel for temporary duty assignment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of refrigeration cycles of a variety of commercial and industrial systems, ability to locate and check system elements, knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration cycles, heat transfer laws, refrigerant tables, etc.
- Skill in locating leaks, troubleshooting motor controls, understanding compressor types, performing overhauls, and electrical work for system repairs.
- Ability to install or replace pipes and ducts over considerable distances.
- Must possess a Universal Technician certification issued by an approved certification program.
- Must qualify for a government motor vehicle operators permit.
- Experience in preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
