We're looking for a talented Accounts and Tax Senior to join either our Peterborough or Hertford team.

As an Accounts and Tax Senior, you'll play a key role in supporting a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounts and tax services while building strong and lasting client relationships. Working closely with colleagues across the wider TC Group network, you'll provide practical advice, ensure compliance requirements are met and identify opportunities to add value.
What You'll Be DoingAs our Accounts and Tax Senior
, you'll be responsible for:
- Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders in accordance with FRS
102 and UK accounting standards. - Prepare and review personal and corporation tax computations, assisting with compliance matters and identifying tax planning opportunities.
- Prepare tax provisions, including deferred tax, proof of tax and tax accounts for audit purposes.
- Support the delivery of compliance services, including Making Tax Digital (MTD) for IT, personal tax and trust tax.
- Work collaboratively with clients and colleagues across multiple offices, including travel when required.
- Provide clients with general accounting and tax advice, as well as support with software-related queries.
- Monitor work in progress, manage debtors, raise fees and assist with departmental budgeting.
- Respond to internal tax queries from other departments across the business.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to business development activities.
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with AAT and/or CTA qualifications being advantageous.
- 5+ years' experience within a UK accountancy practice, with a strong background in tax compliance.
- Strong technical knowledge of FRS
102, UK GAAP and UK accounting standards. - Proven experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
- Strong experience in personal and corporation tax compliance.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs and Pivot Tables.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to demonstrate drive and initiative.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of regular client contact both in person and over the telephone.
- Experience working across a broad range of industry sectors would be advantageous.
- A collaborative team player who supports colleagues, shares knowledge and contributes to a positive team culture.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to identify opportunities for additional services and business development.
