Job Summary

Provides administrative and operational support for the Financial Consultants in the Investments & Insurances department. Serves as liaison for members by conducting inbound and outbound calls, scheduling appointments, performing account set‑up and file maintenance, and coordinating referral activities.

While a Relationship Specialist – Investment Services handles routine administrative tasks, a Registered Relationship Specialist – Investment Services performs more complex investment‑related support functions. This requires advanced knowledge of products, policies, and regulations. Registered Relationship Specialists use their experience and certifications to serve clients and internal customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate brokerage office activities to support the Financial Advisor sales force.
  • Assist members or prospects in resolving account issues, completing paperwork, addressing deficiencies, and processing requests.
  • Help coordinate client events, prepare marketing and seminar materials, and support advisors’ marketing efforts to clients and prospects.
  • Ensure all marketing, client communication, and seminar materials have been submitted and approved.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Redstone products and services to generate referrals among all business lines of the Credit Union.
  • Prioritize calling efforts to meet weekly appointment goals; schedule annual reviews; follow up on direct mail campaigns and other assigned calling activities.
  • Greet members, assess their needs, provide general account information, and process requests for new products and services.
  • Track and report referrals for assigned investment products.
  • Document and process departmental work, verify accuracy and completeness, perform research, scan and file documents, and retrieve records.
  • Perform specialized data entry to prepare standard materials, documents, and reports, update computer records and databases, and complete and process standard forms.
  • Coordinate referral‑tracking program and reporting.
  • Operate computers, scanners, copiers, optical imaging, mail, and other standard office equipment.
  • Maintain records of work performed and assist in maintaining an inventory of supplies for the department.

Deliver friendly, caring service to internal and external members, comply with all applicable State, Federal and NCUA rules and regulations, and all Credit Union policies and procedures. Follow all physical and online security procedures and maintain strict confidentiality of member information. Complete all required regulatory and compliance training and remain up-to-date on Credit Union products and services.

Work scheduled hours and maintain punctuality; perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma/GED. Minimum 2 years of financial industry experience, preferably prior brokerage or wire‑house administrative experience.

  • Learn and apply information on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements to assess member situations and develop solutions.

Physical Demands

Typical tasks include intermittent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and climbing; using hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate computers and office equipment; reaching with hands and arms; and intermittent lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
