School Secretary - Prep School

Term-Time Plus 5 Weeks

Commencing September 2026

St Paul’s Prep is seeking a highly organised and proactive School Secretary to support the smooth running of our busy Prep School. This varied role includes providing administrative support across the school and dedicated assistance to the Senior Deputy Head, including diary management.

Working closely with the Head’s PA and office team, you will coordinate meetings and events, manage communications, support safeguarding administration, and contribute to day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written English, strong IT skills, and a meticulous, flexible approach. Previous school-based administrative experience is desirable.

Hours:

8.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, term-time plus 5 weeks. The 25 additional days will usually be worked either side of the start and end of each term, and over the school holidays, to be agreed with the Head’s PA. All staff are also expected to work on school entrance exam days and Open Days (3-4 days in total).

The closing date for all applications is midnight on Monday 22 June 2026.

Interviews will take place on Friday 26 June 2026.
