School Receptionist – School Experience Essential

We are recruiting for an experienced School Receptionist to join a school in Twickenham on a full-time, long-term basis.

Please note:

Previous experience working specifically as a receptionist within a school is essential. We are only considering candidates who have worked in a school reception role. General reception, office administration or customer service experience outside of a school setting will not be considered.

• Managing the school reception desk and acting as the first point of contact for parents, pupils, visitors and staff.
• Answering calls, managing emails and handling daily enquiries.
• Signing visitors in and out in line with school safeguarding procedures.
• Supporting with pupil attendance, admissions enquiries and school office administration.
• Maintaining accurate records and updating school systems.
• Ensuring the reception area operates professionally and efficiently.

• Previous hands‑on experience as a School Receptionist is essential.
• Experience working within a school office and using school administration systems.
• A strong understanding of school safeguarding and visitor procedures.
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy school environment.
• Availability to start ASAP.
