Business Development Executive

Location: Richmond

Skillspire is recruiting for a Business Development Executive to join a dynamic and growing Construction company. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive and enthusiastic individual who is looking to build or further develop their career within Business Development, particularly within the construction sector. The Business Development Executive will play a key role in supporting the Business Development function through the provision of day-to-day administrative and operational support.

The role will focus on assisting with the identification and development of new business opportunities, supporting pre-tender submissions including SQs, EOIs and PQQs , and contributing to effective client relationship management. Working closely with the wider team, you will support lead-generation activities and help maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities, ensuring the business is well positioned to secure future work.

You will also help ensure the business is positively represented in the market through networking, industry engagement and brand representation, supporting long-term positioning and repeat business across key sectors.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Business Development team
• Assist with identifying and managing new business and tender opportunities
• Support the preparation and submission of PQQs, SQs and EOIs
• Assist with pre-tender correspondence and document control
• Manage tender portals, including uploads, downloads and administration
• Support compliance administration and accurate record keeping
• Assist with client communication and correspondence
• Manage selected key client relationships under the direction of the Business Development team
• Act as a point of contact for clients during the defects period where required
• Support networking activities, industry engagement and company events
• Carry out post-contract follow-up calls and client satisfaction checks
• Support lead-generation activities and help maintain a strong business development pipeline Skills & Experience We are looking for someone with:
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A high level of attention to detail
• Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Share Point  
• The ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines
• A professional and confident manner when dealing with clients and stakeholders
