Specialist Disabled Students Allowances (DSA) Mentors and Tutors

The Wellbeing team at St Mary’s is looking for Specialist Disabled Students Allowances (DSA) Mentors and Tutors to provide individual academically focused, practical support sessions for students.

The Mentors will work with students with Mental Health difficulties and those who are Autistic, while the Study Skills Tutors will work with Students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD) and other complex needs, helping them to develop strategies to cope with the demands of their studies and to enable them to progress and succeed. The team will keep the Student Wellbeing Service updated with developments about individual students.

We are looking for experienced practitioners who have worked with a diverse range of people and hold the relevant professional qualification. An informal interview can then be arranged if you meet the criteria and at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you.

  • Current membership of a professional organisation as specified in the DSA‑QAG framework as being suitable to provide support as part of the Disabled Students Allowance.
