Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the school's SEND strategy in line with statutory requirements
- Oversee identification, assessment and provision for pupils with SEND
- Coordinate EHCP processes, annual reviews and multi‑agency involvement
- Support and coach teachers and support staff to deliver high‑quality inclusive practice
- Monitor progress, interventions, and outcomes for pupils with SEND
- Build strong relationships with families and external professionals
- Contribute to whole‑school improvement as part of the leadership team
- QTS (essential)
- National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete it)
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive pedagogy
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
- A proactive, reflective, and child‑centred approach
- Ability to work collaboratively and influence whole‑school practice
