Youth Mentor – SEMH Support (Twickenham / surrounding areas)

SANZA Teaching Agency is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Twickenham
, home to a supportive resource base
, to recruit an enthusiastic youth mentor to support children requiring SEMH support, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and positive routines within a nurturing school setting. This part‑time role offers consistent hours in a school that deeply values collaboration, wellbeing, and strong SEMH practice.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to deliver tailored SEMH interventions.
  • Provide 1:1 emotional or behavioural support to children.
  • Run small‑group activities designed to encourage engagement and positive behaviour.

Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEMH or behaviour‑support settings.
  • Positive, patient, proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.

    Local to the area or accessible.
  • Yours are encouraged: youth mentors, youth workers, youth group leaders, sports mentors, and similar backgrounds.
  • Experience in education and training desirable.
