SEND Qualified Teacher – Richmond

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher looking to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?

We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN School in Richmond that supports children and young people aged 5–16 years with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional needs including ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs).

Working alongside experienced SEN professionals, therapists, and support staff, you will play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

The Role

As a SEND Qualified Teacher, you will:

* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

* Teach pupils aged 5–16 with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and associated learning needs.

* Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.

* Develop and implement personalised learning strategies and interventions.

* Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams.

* Monitor, assess, and track student progress against EHCP targets.

* Support pupils' social, emotional, communication, and behavioural development.

* Build positive relationships with students, parents, carers, and external professionals.

* Maintain high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion.

SEND Teacher Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

* Experience teaching children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

* Knowledge and understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and SEMH needs.

* Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.

* Experience delivering differentiated and personalised learning programmes.

* Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.

* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
