SEND Teaching Assistant, ASD

Location:

Hampton Middlesex, TW12

Position: SEND Teaching Assistant – Temp to Term role, term time only.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm.

Start date:

1st September 2026.

• Provide support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism
• Assist with classroom activities and help pupils engage in their education
• Work collaboratively with the wider support team at the school
• Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to help pupils reach their full potential
• Support pupils with improving communication, social skills and independence

• Proven experience working with children with SEND, particularly pupils with moderate learning difficulties and autism
• Can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
• Calm, patient and resilient, with excellent behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Confidence supporting pupils with a range of learning and communication needs

• High‑quality professional development and ongoing training
• Opportunities to develop specialist SEND knowledge and skills
