In a Roadside Technician Patrol - Superflex role, you’ll be part of the most agile and responsive unit – ready to support drivers when they need it most. This role is designed for those who can offer extra flexibility around changing schedules, less sociable hours and shorter notice periods. The basic salary is substantially higher than a standard Patrol Technician to compensate for the flexibility needed for this role.
Must have right to work in the UK status.

Shift and schedule for the Roadside Technician role
40 hours per week, averaged over the year. Your roster will be issued seven days in advance, with your core working hours confirmed three days prior.
Working hours range from 6:00am–2:00am and can include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. This is a Superflex position, so candidates must be comfortable with changing schedules and less sociable working hours.
All hours start and finish from home, with work organised locally across Richmond, Barnes, Mortlake, Putney, Roehampton and Wandsworth.

- Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
- Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes and minor repairs.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and determine appropriate repair options.
- Provide temporary solutions where a full roadside repair is not possible.
- Advise members clearly on repairs, recovery and the appropriate next steps.
- Maintain your company van, tools and equipment while completing reports accurately.
- Work safely and efficiently across varied roadside environments and conditions.
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent with at least 2 years' relevant experience; or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
- Strong hands-on mechanical, diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
- A customer-focused approach with the confidence to work independently.
- Flexibility to work changing shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Must have a Full UK Driving Licence with fewer than 6 points.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
