School Cleaner – Richmond upon Thames, South West London

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious School Cleaner to join a friendly school team in Richmond upon Thames, South West London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, communal areas and other designated areas to a high standard.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting floors and surfaces.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely and appropriately.
• Cleaning and sanitising high-touch areas and frequently used facilities.
• Replenishing cleaning materials and reporting low stock when required.
• Following school cleaning schedules, health and safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.
• Reporting any maintenance issues, damage or health and safety concerns to the appropriate person.
• Ensuring cleaning equipment and products are stored safely after use.
• Working respectfully around pupils, teachers, support staff and visitors.
• Maintaining a consistently high standard of cleanliness throughout the school.

The successful candidate will be reliable, punctual and hardworking, with a positive attitude and good attention to detail. Previous cleaning experience is desirable, particularly within a school, educational or commercial environment, although full training may be provided for the right candidate.

You should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team and be able to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures. A commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and maintaining a professional environment is essential.
