Production Manager - Medical Devices - Based onsite Mon-Thurs - Twickenham £competitive salary
We have an exciting new role as a Production Manager for a growing global medical devices company based in Twickenham. You will be responsible for the manufacturing team and will have previous experience in this area and within the medical devices industry.
The Production Manager will play a fundamental role in managing the manufacturing ramp up and product quality compliance. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team launching innovative technology. As Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, overseeing planning, output, process control, and team leadership. You’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 standards, enhancing manufacturing systems, and supporting the scale-up of manufacturing to meet growing customer demand.
Keyresponsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure all activities align with the approved production plan and organizational objectives.
- Lead, manage, and develop a cross-functional production team, including team leaders, operators, and support personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Establish and operationalize new manufacturing facilities, actively participating in product manufacturing processes and overseeing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) documentation.
- Develop and maintain accurate production schedules, collaborating closely with Business Development, Purchasing, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and Health & Safety teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Oversee inventory management in coordination with Purchasing and Accounting departments to maintain optimal stock levels and cost efficiency.
- Manage subcontractors and contract manufacturing partners, ensuring full compliance with ISO 13485 Quality Management System requirements.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 13485 standards, applicable regulatory requirements, and medical device manufacturing best practices. Uphold quality and technical standards by working closely with technical teams on product investigations, non-conformances, and internal/external audits.
The successful candidate:
- University degree in engineering preferably electric/electronic discipline
- MS Office (intermediate level) Internet and email.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English
- Significant experience in manufacturing operations within an ISO 13485 regulated industry, ideally medical devices.
- Proven success in leading teams and scaling manufacturing operations from startup level
The role is based on site and consists of a 4 day working week, with flexi start and finish. Salary is dependent on experience. Excellent opportunity to join a growing team and great colleagues.
