About the Role

My client in the manufacturing indsutry is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to support its busy manufacturing facility in Hampton. This role is key to ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of production machinery across the site. You’ll work as part of a small, skilled engineering team, responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out reactive maintenance on a range of production machinery, including CNC machines, moulding equipment, and automated systems.

* Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimise downtime and extend equipment life.

* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate tools, testing equipment, and technical documentation.

* Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new machinery and equipment.

* Work closely with production teams to resolve issues quickly and safely.

* Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.

* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including reliability improvements and root‑cause analysis.

* Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards and company procedures.

Skills & Experience Required

* Proven experience as a multiskilled maintenance engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

* Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills.

* Experience working with CNC machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, or automated systems is highly desirable.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

* Knowledge of PPM systems and maintenance best practice.

* Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently during the afternoon shift.

* Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent) preferred
