CNC Machinist - Backshift

Hours:

Backshift - Monday to Thursday 2:30PM - 11:00PM & Friday 2:30PM - 8:30PM

Pay Rate: £17.41 per hour inclusive of 20% shift allowance

Hambleton Steel are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Operative to join their growing production team on a permanent backshift basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established steel manufacturing business offering stable work, overtime opportunities and long-term progression.

Pay Rates

Basic Rate (including 20% shift allowance): £17.41 per hour
Monday to Friday Overtime: £26.11 per hour
Saturday Overtime: £21.76 per hour

Duties & Responsibilities

Efficient operation of all CNC machinery
Following daily processing checklists on CNC machinery
Monitoring machine performance, maintenance and operational requirements
Identifying improvements and making recommendations to increase efficiency
Liaising with Voortman engineers regarding machinery breakdowns
Working closely with Supervisors, Charge hands and the Works Manager
Maintaining safe and efficient working practices throughout the workshop

Experience Preferred

Voortman blast, saw and drill machinery experience
Kaltenbach Profitline fittings machine experience
Peddinghaus saw/drill experience
Previous CNC machining/operating experience within heavy engineering or steel environments
