Heritage is for everybody, and we care for over a million objects and hundreds of historic sites in England.
We are looking for a Volunteer Manager to join our team. The role is a fixed-term, full-time position covering 36 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays.

As Volunteer Manager, you will lead the day-to-day coordination, support, and engagement of our volunteer team to ensure a high-quality visitor experience.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee volunteer scheduling and communication, maintaining accurate records.
- Support the day-time hours duty management system at Marble Hill.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training activity where required.
- Contribute to improving processes and volunteer engagement initiatives.
You will also build strong working relationships across the site and help foster a positive & inclusive culture.
To be considered as the Volunteer Manager, you’ll need:
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Confidence using digital systems and maintaining accurate records.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach.
