Store Assistant - Part-Time, Richmond

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our friendly team at Lucy Pittaway in Richmond.

This is a customer-focused, commission-based sales role
, ideal for someone with a passion for sales and excellent customer service skills. Commission is earned on all artwork sales and is paid on top of the hourly rate, increasing overall earnings.

You will play a key part in delivering an exceptional in-store experience for our customers. While the role is primarily customer-facing, it also includes a variety of behind-the-scenes responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Engaging with customers and confidently selling art and merchandise in the gallery
• Processing sales and handling payments using the till/Shopify POS system
• Managing email and telephone sales enquiries
• Organising, handling and processing artwork and stock
• Providing outstanding customer service face-to-face, by phone and via email
• Occasionally supporting local events and exhibitions

We are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and thrives in a busy retail environment.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in retail or sales (essential)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Confidence handling payments and managing a till
• Good attention to detail and a strong level of numeracy
• The ability to handle artwork and stock, including items that may be large or heavy
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with Shopify POS (desirable but not essential)
• 15 hours per week
• Worked on a 7-day rota

• Flexibility is essential

• £12.71 per hour
  , plus commission on artwork sales
