Job Overview
This position collaborates with county 4‑H faculty, staff, leaders, and fair personnel to plan and implement 4‑H activities, contests, shows, and awards ceremonies at the Twin Falls County Fair. Work with the 4‑H Educator, support staff, and other county educators with 4‑H responsibilities to develop, plan, and conduct programs that deliver youth education and volunteer development curricula.
Position OverviewThe position provides a wide range of operational support to visitors, students and employees, navigating a variety of administrative processes, procedures and cyclical calendars of activities critical to the operation of the unit within the broader university. The primary responsibility is to serve as an administrative process expert and coordinator. The position may serve as first point of contact for the department while also performing administrative functions such as researching information and solving problems for faculty, staff and students, and providing program and/or event assistance.
ResponsibilitiesDuties may include:
- Compose, proofread, edit and distribute a variety of business documents and routine reports
- Maintain schedules and event calendars
- Coordinate logistics for regular travel and meetings
- Collect and organize data, enter information into various electronic systems in accordance with university or department procedure to ensure accuracy and compliance, validate information and resolve conflicts in data
- Review internal operating procedures and practices to determine whether improvements can be made in areas such as workflow and records management
- Greet office visitors and respond to incoming calls and email correspondence. Provide information about office services and processes, redirect inquiries to appropriate offices/individuals
- One year performing office support functions such as document or records management, composing or editing and formatting business documents, reception and/or customer service
- Using computer software and applications for word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet research
- Balancing a workload of assigned tasks to meet multiple deadlines
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work non-standard business hours as needed
- Requires travel between locations during the business day for meetings and to support program activities
- Three or more years’ experience as a program coordinator or assistant
- Experience with 4‑H Youth Development (personal or professional)
- Strong people skills; able to motivate and work courteously with youth, adults, and volunteers
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to prepare reports and speak to groups
- Skilled in problem‑solving, teamwork, and decision‑making
- Experience developing and adapting educational materials
- Proficient with computers and standard office software; advanced skills in web design, spreadsheets, and data management preferred
- Experience in program marketing, promotion, fundraising, and data collection
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, climb stairs occasionally
- Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move up to 50 pounds occasionally

Salary & BenefitsPay Range: $20.50 per hour, or higher depending on experience.
