Position: Paraprofessional - 5.5 hours per day
Summary

Bridge Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate paraprofessional to support our educational team in a part-time capacity of 5.5 hours per day. The ideal candidate will assist teachers in providing a positive learning environment for students, helping to enhance their educational experience. This role is essential in fostering student engagement and promoting academic success.

Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in the implementation of instructional activities and lesson plans.
  • Support individual students and small groups in academic tasks and learning objectives.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance and behavior.
  • Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom management and promote positive social interactions among students.
  • Provide support for students with special needs, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and accommodations.
  • Facilitate communication between teachers, students, and parents as needed.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing materials and maintaining student records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet any state or district requirements for paraprofessionals.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom needs and dynamics.

This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The employment “at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 411.

All recommendations for hire are tentative offers. Employment is contingent upon board approval, and successful completion of a federal background check and drug-free workplace pre-employment screening.
