The Senior Telecommunications Engineer works on multiple concurrent projects, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time. The role spans the entire design process, from preliminary assessments to final design package sign‑off, and includes mentoring team members and leading BIM designers.

• Lead BIM designers in the preparation of engineering drawings.
• Create or modify DIV 27 specifications.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Sign and seal telecommunications design packages.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as the point of contact (EoR) for design approvals.
• Mentor other telecom team members.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase departmental efficiency.

• Electrical Engineering or Communications Engineering bachelor’s degree from an ABET‑accredited college.
• Minimum 8 years of experience actively designing or leading designs for telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and its application to telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers, and clients.
• Familiarity with responding to RFPs.
• Experience in providing quality assurance and checking of telecommunications systems designed by others.
• Experience with start‑up and commissioning of telecommunications systems.
• Experience creating and maintaining a project budget.
• Experience creating and maintaining a project schedule.
• Experience identifying and mitigating company risk.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; ability to obtain multiple PE licenses is required.
• Self‑motivation and strong communication skills.

• 4+ years of telecommunications design experience in data centers.
• Experience working on other low‑voltage systems such as security, audio/visual, and wireless.
• Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platforms.
• Knowledge of telecom infrastructure for controls and security systems.
• Knowledge of CSI or AIA specification writing procedures.
• Credential as an RCDD.
