The employee provides exceptional customer service to help people live healthier lives by serving customers and employees in a fair and ethical manner, maintaining a safe, clean, inclusive environment, and offering the right products, services, and care at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. The role may include direct patient interaction with health and wellness services in accordance with state and federal laws, aligned with the company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Responsibilities- Support company health and wellness initiatives
- Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies
- Maintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required by state
- Assist the pharmacist in responsibilities that do not require the pharmacist’s professional judgment
- Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing steps
- Support ongoing coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians
- Compound medications in compliance with state and other regulations
- Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information against computer records
- Support non-dispensing services using various platforms, resources, and applications
- Complete CLIA-waived screenings in accordance with state and federal law and company policies
- Provide additional health and wellness services allowed by state and regulatory bodies
- Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions to store management
- Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
- Perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to handle highly confidential information
- Completion of national registration, certification or licensure
Desired
- Any previous comparable experience
- Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy technician
