Inpatient Pharmacist-Magic Valley

St. Luke’s Health System in Twin Falls is seeking a Full‑Time Inpatient Pharmacist to join our dedicated pharmacy team. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and evidence‑based medication therapy for our patients while supporting a culture of clinical excellence and collaboration.

This position offers 10‑hour shifts (4×10s) and includes working every 3rd weekend.

• Collaborate with providers and clinical teams to ensure the appropriateness of prescribed medication therapy.
• Enter, verify, and process medication orders in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
• Provide medication information and consultation to patients, nurses, and medical staff.
• Interpret prescriptions, compound, and dispense medications accurately and safely.
• Supervise and authorize the work of pharmacy technicians, externs, interns, and support staff.
• Prepare and maintain all necessary records related to medication therapy, prescriptions, patient charges, medical records, and inventory.
• Perform cognitive clinical pharmacy services and document findings and interventions per medical center standards.
• Administer medications and vaccinations as appropriate.
• Participate in the training, education, and mentoring of pharmacy technicians, externs, interns, residents, and other department staff.
• Serve as a professional role model and mentor for students, residents, and new practitioners.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Education:
  
  Degree from an accredited pharmacy program (Pharm
  
  D or equivalent).
• Experience:
  
  No prior experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid Pharmacist License in the State of Idaho (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification through the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), American Heart Association (AHA), or American Red Cross.
