Amalgamated Sugar is seeking to fill multiple General Labor positions. These are year‑round, full‑time positions offering an excellent benefits package upon completion of a standard probationary period.

This position entails working in a heavy‑duty industrial environment that encompasses all aspects of sugar production. Successful candidates will perform a variety of tasks within the sugar factory. No experience necessary – training is provided.

• Work rotating 12‑hour shifts—6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and/or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Must be available and willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Be able to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Climb stairs and ladders.
• Work in temperature extremes both hot and cold, indoors, and outdoors.
• Read and comprehend written instructions including safety procedures, safety signs, schedules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and manufacturing standards and procedures in English.
• Be able to use common hand tools and perform entry‑level tasks with basic hand tools.
• Perform general cleaning and sanitation operations.
• Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., stand up to 10 hours a day, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, and move equipment as needed. Must be comfortable in year‑round outdoor temperatures, in loud conditions, and working around moving mechanical equipment.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience working in an industrial setting preferred.
