St. Luke’s Cancer Institute (SLCI) clinics are dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. St. Luke’s holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation.

The Clinical Oncology RN is responsible for prioritizing walk-in and telephone triage encounters to address presenting symptoms with focused assessments, management, patient teaching, and coordination of patient care needs, in consultation with providers, key team members, and outside health associates involved with the patient’s plan of care. This position will cross-train in one other area within the clinic for coverage purposes.

• Prioritize walk-in and telephone triage encounters with focused assessment and care coordination
• Provide patient teaching and support in collaboration with the care team
• Coordinate with providers, team members, and outside health partners (e.g., insurance, pharmacies) as part of the patient’s plan of care
• Cross-train in one other area within the clinic for coverage
• Support a flexible schedule as described (see Qualifications)

• Education:
  
  Nursing Degree
• Experience:
  
  One (1) or more years of RN experience
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  Current RN licensure in the state of practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Preferred:
  Oncology, triage, or clinic experience; RN license in the state of Nevada or willingness to obtain upon hire

• Flex (0.2 FTE)
• 8-hour shift, variable days (M-F)
• No weekends, nights or designated holidays e’s
