Description

DEDICATED TO STRENGTHENING THE HEALTH, SAFETY, AND INDEPENDENCE OF IDAHOANS

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE OPEN UNTIL FILLED. APPLICANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO BE CONSIDERED.

Do you want to make a positive impact on the lives of Idaho's children and families? Do you have personal or professional experience within or in support of programs serving youth and families and/or the child welfare system? If this sounds like a good fit, we are seeking applicants to join our Family Locate team as Case Aides at the Twin Falls field office.

The Family Locate team plays a pivotal role in assisting regions by identifying viable kin or fictive kin for children in foster care. Team members piece together children’s backgrounds, including extended family and friends, gather relevant names and contact information, and engage directly with identified kin to assess their interest in becoming caregivers or supporting youth in foster care. They also assist field workers by contacting foster parents and providing critical information about the needs of children to prospective foster placements.

Incumbents will be required to participate in the Child Welfare Academy to learn Idaho child welfare practices and standards and complete Academy assignments. Some travel may be required.

The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug‑free workplace. Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre‑employment drug test and complete a criminal history background investigation. Employment is dependent on satisfactory results.
