We are looking for a driver to establish a career with one of the top building supply distributors nationwide. The driver will safely travel the most efficient route to job sites, obey traffic laws and company safety regulations, assist in loading and securing materials on trucks, unload materials using cranes, conveyors, piggybacks or by hand, and serve as the face of Gulfeagle on the job site by leading, instructing, and supervising others.
Responsibilities- Safely drive to job sites and follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Assist in loading and securing materials on trucks daily.
- Unload materials using crane, conveyor, piggybacks, or by hand.
- Lead, instruct, and supervise others on job sites.
- Valid state CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with clear MVR and DOT record.
- 21 years old or older.
- Current and valid Medical Certification Card.
- Held CDL driving position the previous year with consecutive driving experience.
- High degree of attention and considerable dexterity in controlling the vehicle.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb.
- Willingness and ability to climb on a rooftop and ensure proper stacking (location based).
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 100 pounds of material for extended periods.
- Ability to climb a 40’ ladder (location based).
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of vehicles.
- U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass company-required drug screening; all employees are subject to random drug testing per company policy.
- Previous material handling experience.
- Previous forklift experience.
- Certified to operate a crane.
Pay based on experience.
