. This role requires 5 days a week on site. The Project/Design Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring project integrity and feedback to the customer of any required quality topics identified through internal or external audit/monitoring. This role will assist members of the Program/Design/Industrialization team in the achievement of project quality, customer satisfaction and quality improvement targets, helping to make design processes more robust.

The engineer will interface directly with the customer and regulatory authorities, act as the subject‑matter expert for quality tools and techniques, and serve as the point of escalation for quality matters with the customer and within the project team.

• Prepare and implement the program/project quality plan in line with SAFRAN referential and customer requirements.
• Support on other Program/Project plans and represent quality at project/program gate reviews.
• Participate in project risks/opportunities reviews and ensure that acceptable levels of risk have been agreed and communicated internally with action plans.
• Take timely and relevant containment actions and ensure traceability investigations are carried out as required.
• Lead on customer interaction for quality escapes and customer approvals in conjunction with technical, operations & programmes.
• Ensure compliance with all customer, regulatory, ISO
  9001 and AS9100 requirements and audits, actively lead the closure of any corrective actions or required improvements.
• Lead the process, system or product audits as required and ensure deployment through themselves and the team.
• Ensure robust corrective actions are assigned and delivered across all parts of the business.
• Integrate quality into the System/Product Design Review process; drive standardised mitigation plans to prevent/mitigate risk linked to the product and its related processes.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and practical problem‑solving activities, support the lessons learned process to improve organizational efficiency and product maturity.
• Drive and manage improvement projects to support Engineering/Program targets; identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Support the deployment of Quality standards and assist Design Engineering teams as the Design Quality Engineer focal point.
• Establish and drive corrective and preventive action plans to support the improvement of project/program performance.
• Support development deviations management (Problem Solving/8D, concessions, milestones recommendations, audits NC).
• Review design and development paperwork for compliance to internal procedures and regulations.
• Participate in design risk management activities including DFMEA, PFMEA.
• Evaluate designs for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, and Safran standards.
• Ensure or provide support to Supplier Quality Assurance for selection and monitoring of design contractors and parts suppliers.
