Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, schedule and perform production and MRO testing at the top‑level and subassembly LRU levels.
  • Perform production testing of LRUs and troubleshoot test equipment and products.
  • Gather and assess information on materials and components used in production.
  • Draft proposals for testing programs and operating procedures, outlining specific testing conditions.
  • Develop systems to collect digital data during testing and analyze the data to evaluate validity of results.
  • Identify problems with new products and recommend adjustments to resolve issues.
  • Continue testing and analysis until results meet product requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports presenting findings and recommend necessary modifications to correct production problems.
  • Assist with environmental and functional tests on electrical generators and generator control units (air‑cooled and oil‑cooled systems).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot test failures.
  • Collaborate with product design engineers to develop test methods that ensure specification performance requirements are met.
  • Write clear and complete test procedures, instructions, and reports.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of five (5) years related aerospace work experience, or an Associate’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of seven (7) years related aerospace work experience.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing testing requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing, interpersonal, organizational and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare test reports and proposals.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW.
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 21 and Part 145 requirements.
  • Ability to operate a tow motor and/or scissor lift.
  • Understanding of aircraft power generation systems.
  • Skill using hydraulic oil and scavenging systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

Travel requirements: up to 25% (approximately once per quarter) within the U.S. or outside the U.S.

Additional duties may be assigned. Evening/night hours and extra hours during business peaks, especially at month‑end, may be required.
