Level 3 Networking Technician (3rd shift) – Compucom Staffing

Location:

Twinsburg, OH – Onsite. Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM EST. 3rd shift with on‑call rotation.

• Maintain network environment as part of onsite team supporting physical (Smart Hands) incidents and requests.
• Provide incident support by working with remote Level 2/3 teams to resolve outages, replace cabling or hardware components.
• Provide service‑request support and work with remote teams to install hardware or patch cables for new services.
• Participate in hardware rack, stack installation of network and server equipment, cable management and installation of required fiber and copper patch leads; provide console access to remote teams for configuration and test connectivity.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in lieu of each year of education.
• Minimum 3+ years combined experience in site support or infrastructure technician role.
• Minimum 3+ years experience in racking, stacking, connecting and basic configuration support of networking or server devices.
• Minimum 3+ years combined experience working in data centers, labs or server room environments.
• Data center experience required.
• Proven ability to install cable pathways, conveyances (ladder, trays, support systems) and read cable matrix blueprints, mechanical or electrical requirement documents.
• Structured Network Cabling experience (Copper: Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, RJ45; Fiber: Multimode, Single Mode, ST, SC, LC).
• WIFI hardware experience (Wireless LAN Controllers, Wireless Access Points).
• Networking experience (IP addressing, Layer 2 VLAN, etc.).
• Experienced in Ethernet Switching hardware (Chassis, Supervisor, Line Cards, Power Supplies) and transceiver types (SX, LX, SR, LR).
• Cable troubleshooting knowledge/experience (Fluke Testers – Copper Wire Map, Link Test; Fiber – OTDR; Fluke Aircheck – Wireless Testing).
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to read blueprints, and complete physical cable installations and removal of cabling components, TOR switches, cable tray systems, move equipment, network gear and related communications infrastructure hardware and materials.

$19.20 – $26.40 per hour. Starting pay may vary by geography, skills, education, experience and other qualifications.
