Assemble finished product for shipment to customers.

• Assemble finished product that includes either valves and/or fittings.
• Cap finished parts as needed.
• Use hand tools for various assemblies, and appropriate measuring devices.
• Interpret shipping documents such as pick lists.
• Perform 5S in work area, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
• Enter customer order information into the Company’s computer system for recording labor time.
• May perform other necessary tasks in the warehouse/shipping as needed.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methods and tools to make work process improvements.
• Observe and apply department and company Safety policies and procedures.
• Additional tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.

• Computer data entry skills.
• Knowledge of SSP’s warehouse/shipping processes.
• Knowledge of Company products.
• Skill at eye-hand coordination for assembly operations.
• Ability to read and understand Pick List and other customer order information.
• Basic math (add, subtract, multiple, etc.).
• Knowledge of Quality ISO procedures and Lean Standard Work.

• Warehouse/shipping work environment.
• May require extended work hours.
• Lifting and picking up boxes/totes (5 to 35 lbs.).
• Some exposure to cold with overhead shipping door(s) open for short periods.
• Extended periods of sitting at an assembly bench.
• Many hours standing/walking involved (10+).

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Entry Level Position.
• Up to one year of light assembly experience preferred.
