Tool Room Attendant

Overall Responsibilities:
The Tool Room Attendant is the administrator of the work orders/ parts inventories and the preventative maintenance system. Order supplies and parts for the Maintenance Department along with maintaining the parts inventory system and the equipment database system. Must have technical knowledge of machine parts. The success of this position is based on meeting those goals and effectively carrying out the following:

Essential Job Functions:

Maintain maintenance software system Assign work orders to Maintenance staff in conjunction with the manager Generate purchase orders in the ERP system Order parts and supplies as needed by phone or online Maintain parts inventory Create part numbers as needed Create machine numbers and enter the needed machine data as required Enter all purchase order information into the maintenance software system Enter time and attendance for maintenance personnel daily Actively participate in Company continuous improvement initiatives All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s Degree preferred General business knowledge Good mechanical aptitude Ability to read and understand blueprints Office demeanor experience with Microsoft Office products Service oriented All team members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct to the highest standards as well as to adhere to the Attendance Policy of VT Industries

Physical Requirements Tolerance for sitting long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
