The mission of Two Rivers is to nurture a diverse group of students to become lifelong, active participants in their own education, develop a sense of self and community and become responsible and compassionate members of society. Two Rivers Public Charter School serves a diverse group of learners across three locations.

- Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
Assistant Teachers must possess one of the following qualifications:
- An Associate's Degree
- 48 advanced credit hours
- A passing score of 461 on the Para Pro Assessment
- Demonstrated ability to develop differentiated lesson plans and use instructional tools to meet the needs of students with learning challenges
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with general education teachers and other service providers to ensure the academic and social growth of students
- Demonstrated ability to integrate curriculum across academic disciplines
- Dedication to teaching in ways that are interactive, hands‑on, project‑based, and promote self‑discovery and critical thinking
- Commitment to high academic achievement for all students, and meet the needs of every child in a diverse population
- Previous experience using data to inform instruction on an ongoing basis
- Clear understanding of curriculum, instruction, and child development
- Ability to establish an effective and efficient classroom culture that emphasizes and supports literacy and math across all content areas
- Ability to nurture students and work collaboratively with families
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as a member of a team
- Possess a professional growth mindset that contributes to a community of educators
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Plan and execute lessons for small groups and whole group instruction (e.g. Bridges Number Corner, Second Step, interventions, and Morning Meeting)
- Support the classroom teacher with instruction. Instructional duties and roles will be discussed and mutually agreed upon by the Assistant Teacher and classroom teacher. Instructional duties may include working with small groups of students, working individually with students, assessing student learning, and assisting with the planning and preparation of classroom lessons and activities.
- Support of general class instruction for lessons that are led by the classroom lead teacher and specials teachers (e.g. music, art, drama, Spanish, PE).
- Gather resources and prepare materials to ensure strong student engagement in lessons
- Assist the lead teacher with tracking, analyzing, and using data to drive teaching and instruction
